- The following symposium, called “Nikkanchu Kokusai Symposium (Japan-Korea-China International Symposium),” was commenced in 1990 by the Faculty of Economics at Saga University with the collaboration of Chonnam National University in South Korea, the Institute of World Economy and Politics, and the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences. Kasetsart University in Thailand and the University of Peradeniya have joined the symposium since 2013. Now it is called the Asian Economic Symposium. I played a major role in organizing this symposium from 1990 to 2017.
